Our Mission

Factocracy was born out of frustration.

We're two married, lifelong Democrats who have spent years watching misinformation spread unchecked while Democratic messaging struggled to break through. We saw neighbors, friends, and family members drifting toward a distorted version of reality — and we decided to do something about it.

We're not political consultants. We're not lobbyists. We're not funded by a party or dark money. We're just two people who believe that facts matter, that democracy is worth fighting for, and that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is plant a sign in your yard.

Why Yard Signs?

In 2024, Republicans used punchy but dishonest yard signs to great effect — messages like "Trump Low Crime / Kamala High Crime" and "Trump Low Taxes / Kamala High Taxes." Simple. Bold. Effective — but untrue.

Every sign in our library is rooted in fact. Every message is designed to cut through the noise and start a conversation: fact-based signs that fill in the blanks of Democratic outreach with messages that are pithy, accurate, and long overdue.

Factocracy's yard sign campaign supplements messaging from Democratic candidates and the Democratic Party. We believe in the power of signage because signs reach people outside their information bubbles — in neighborhoods, on rural roads, in communities that digital advertising never touches and in towns where a yard sign might be the only political message someone sees all season. They are also unavoidable – even the Fox News watchers, or the folks working three jobs to make ends meet can't help seeing them.

Who We're Reaching

Our initial focus is rural communities that the Democratic Party has overlooked for a generation — but these signs can go anywhere. We're targeting four groups of persuadable voters:

• Low-information voters — citizens of all backgrounds who simply haven't heard the other side of the story
• Undermotivated voters — people who feel their vote doesn't matter
• Swing voters — those who went from Obama to Trump to Biden and back again
• Misinformed voters — bringing facts to audiences shaped by one-sided media and Trump's endless lies

Our Goals

Due to the chaos of the current administration, we believe disengaged voters are reachable in ways they haven't been for a generation. Our goal is to plant seeds that drive voters to the polls to vote for sanity in government — for the midterms and through the 2028 general election.

Our Promise

Factocracy is a grassroots nonprofit, run entirely by volunteers. Operations are self-funded by our founders. Downloads are free, but sign printing is not. Every dollar donated goes directly to printing and distributing signs for communities in need. Donations in any amount are appreciated.

We welcome sign ideas from anyone who shares our belief that an informed electorate is a stronger electorate. We believe in the power of collective action. Let's work together to save our nation.
